Sick again! So weird that I got through one of our coldest winters ever and now that it's nearly summer, that's when I fall in a heap. Resting up now, act 3 is nearly done, just have the final battle to redo. Still waiting on the EMS update and the romantic animations of course, but there's no rush with anything here. Won't be getting this out before the end of Novemebr as I'd hoped, though.

So much content
I keep finding new and interesting things to add to the series at various points. I'm no longer working on just one mod, I'm going back and forth changing and refining a LOT of things all over the place. Some parts of the series you'll barely recognise But it's all coalescing on the end product, which will be pretty awesome. I think I've finally locked in act 1, and I'm playing through it now. Act 2 is also done (yes I've said that before but now it's really done) and act 3 approaches completion. Several sections of act 4 are updated too, like the Tusone Chevaliers have their horses now, and improved gear. I suspect I've made them look like knights from Wyvern Crown of Cormyr, but I never played that so I'm not sure Speaking of wyverns, there's some things I originally wanted to do with certain quests, but couldn't due to limitations. The black dragon in the Calespur caverns in act 1 for example, took a long time to balance because level 5 characters couldn't really handle such a monster. So I had to reduce it's power to the point where it would be the laughing stock of other black dragons. This has been replaced with a much better balanced fight. Another example is the Hellion in act 4 part 3. It was originally planned to be a Sphere of Annihilation, but I couldn't simulate one well enough. I then wanted it to be a creature called the Tempest, based on lightning and such, but I couldn't do that either. Until now! Hellion out, Tempest in. That fight will be tweaked a lot too I suspect. So I thought I'd take a moment to thank all the people who worked on both the 1.69 patch, and the CEP 2.1 contributors. The astonishing array of high-quality models and content continues to impress and amaze me. I really look forward to releasing Aielund 2.0 as soon as I can

Progress!
Done plenty of work on act 3 the past few days, though it's still a fair way from being done. Remember that ancient red dragon that falls on you in the desert? I felt that encounter was pretty bland, so I knocked it up a notch. Bam! I won't ruin the surprise for you, but I will say it's a lot more interesting now Fort Highmarch now uses the new castle exterior tileset, and the final combat is being redone in a fairly major way. These tweaks constitute the major updates for the mod, but theres plenty of item appearances and such that have been upgraded too. I'm particularly pleased with the robes of light and darkness. They really live up to their names now I'm looking to get the whole update released before the end of November.

Regarding the PrC
I'm back to work on the series again, thanks to everyone who offered their support over the past few days, it means a lot to me Now, I had planned to put the PrC into Aielund 2.0, but after downloading it and looking at how incredibly vast it is, I'm reluctant to do so. It will take a lot of work to go through it all and check to make sure nothing unbalances the mods, nor breaks anything. What I'll probably do instead is just ensure that the mods are compatible with the PrC, so people can add it without fear of breaking the mods. Another issue that has arisen is the elven city tileset is incompatible with the castle exterior, rural tileset that came out in 1.69. Specifically, the doors are screwy. I've managed to tweak it so that the castle doors are working, but that messes up the elven city special doors. I can't figure out how to make them both work alongside one another at this point, as I've never worked on tiles before. I'm going to leave it for the time being and continue on with other stuff in the hopes a solution can be found.

Interlude
Just getting over a nasty illness, and now my poor cat has passed away overnight. Not sure if I can be very creative through grief, but if I can, I'll keep working away. It's mostly technical stuff for act 3 anyway, and I think I'd prefer to keep busy. But if I don't post any progress reports for a while, you know why
